I come from a family of potato farmers in Busselton (4th generation). After being away from the farm for 10 years in the city, meeting my now wife Katie and spending 2 years travelling and working in the UK and Europe we moved back onto the farm in 2010 to lead a more self-sufficient lifestyle. They say to be self-sufficient you should start by getting a pig, we got 3. They were meant to turn into our Christmas hams but unexpectedly two of the sows produced piglets (little Christmas miracles!) We did wonder why they were getting so fat!!! Of these piglets we kept 2 gilts, and the breeding of pigs began.
Our philosophy is for customers to eat local, knowing and appreciating where their food comes from, to get to know their farmer, cook with the whole carcass and enjoy good quality, humanely treated pork that also tastes amazing.
